Brazil was established around 10,000 years ago by the Portuguese. The region that is now known as Brazil was pioneered by numerous amounts of Jiquabu Tribes. These tribes were known simply as Indians. The earliest of peoples who possessed the land were men who came from Asia and were known as migrant hunters. These men ventured by many various ways; by crossing the Bering Strait, sea routes along the Pacific and by land.
In 1500, is when the Portuguese arrived in the region of Brazil. The land was already occupied by the native indigenous tribes whom had established a sustainable lifestyle of fishing, hunting and gathering. Brazil is home of the Amazon Rain Forest which is one of the worlds largest natural resource. The natives were blessed with an amazing makeup of natural water, food and materials for production and sustainable life. They were pioneers of migrant agriculture on the coastal segments of early Brazil. The Portuguese began to merge with the natives once they had arrived and began to work together to establish an even more sustainable community.
When the Portuguese migrated, little did they know that they were carries of foreign, infectious disease that would lead to an almost total wipe out of the native peoples. This correlates with Jared Diamonds Diffusion Theory; the diseases that began to spread were measles, smallpox, tuberculosis and gonorrhea. The indigenous people were not immune to these diseases and resulted in the process of extraction. Hundreds to thousands of people were killed.
Early settlers were so drawn to the regions of Brazil because of fertile and rich the land and natural resources were. Brazil is known as the country that were the "champions of soy." Early settlers discovered resources such as soy bean, cotton, maize, cotton and coffee and much, much more. Brazil's agriculture is one of the biggest reasons for their base of their economy and its success. This is why the Portuguese wanted to claim the land as their own so badly. The land was rich so that created strife between the natives and the Portuguese settlers. They fought over the amazons natural resources such as the brazilwood trees that were of great value. Later on they soon learned that these trees; which were widely distributed all over Brazil, were rich in red dyes. The makeup of Brazil was valuable in minerals, product and resources and allowed the start of trade which resulted in vast growth.
Brazil was pioneered by two great peoples. Although one group was over powered, the two established a fascinating country that is full of life. The land was blessed with the Amazon and the coastal regions and much more. Because of the geography of the land the native peoples were able to prosper the land into to something great that thrived. The early settlers whom were the Portuguese built on top of what the native peoples had already done and established the start of a vast region.

Here is a map of the Indigenous peoples pioneered the region of Brazil. In my research above, I state that these are the people that were located on the coastal areas of the land.

This website is great to navigate to if you are looking to be educated on the science behind the farming in Brazil in the 21st century. I found this website to be extremely enlightening because it relates back to the soy bean and how it was one of the main agricultural bases for the economy in Brazil. The geography of the land allowed much success in Brazil.

Population Pyramid
This population pyramid shows the population of males and females in 2016 in Brazil. As you can see, Brazil is about even when it comes to whether there are more males or more females. The pyramid also shows that there are more men at a younger age but as the population grows in age, there tend to be more women. The main idea of this pyramid is that you can view the growth of the population along with the fertility and death rates of each sex.
This population pyramid shows the population rate in 1950 Brazil. This pyramid shows that from the child ages to the middle young adults the birth and death rates are about the same if not completely the same. Again you can see that as the women get older along with the men, the women have a lesser rate of death than the men.
